After reading SO many amazing and inspiring craft blogs over the last year I have finally dove in and started my blog. I have so much to learn! I really don't know about this computer stuff, but I have projects I want to share so it will be a long journey and a wonderful learning process. So I hope you come with me on this journey and enjoy crafting like I do. I am loving all the refashioning ideas on the blogs I'm reading. With my environmental science background, I love to recycle and reuse, so this is where I am trying new projects.A few recent projects I've completed are my very first dress for my daughter. It's a knot dress with a pattern from Lori Lynn Designs. I loved making it and am in the process of making two more. I have lots of fabric from thrift stores, huge women's dresses, and fabric I want to recycle so i hope to experiment with lots of dresses! This dress is made with gorgeous batik fabric that I bought at a garage sale or thrift store and I love it. It was a wonderful easy pattern to follow (after I figured out how to make buttonholes again on my machine, lost the manual so thankfully it came back to me)
My beautiful girl. She'll be wearing this a lot this spring/summer, after our Colorado winter is over!
