Ruffle Tee Shirt Pillow

Look at this awesome ruffle pillow from Oh So Crafty. Tutorial found here. It's made from a tee shirt for the ruffles and a men's button down dress shirt for the pillow base. It looks easy and I want to make a gray one for my bedroom and a pink or green one for my daughter. I LOVE it! And love that it's from recycled materials.

Summer Fun

Water plus chalk was a huge hit one summer day. The kids had a blast.
They made really cool handprints that are still there!

Purple hair. Was a little tough to get out!
And this is how you get this hairstyle!

I LOVE where I live

I really can't believe I get to live here. I mean, really?!?!??! It's beautiful. My dad came to visit in June and since my son is a train boy, we all rode our train-Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It was fun, but long. Beautiful shots though.

Taking a break...

Purse Set

I recently made this set for a friend. It's a pleated purse, diaper/wipes tote, and changing pad. We're doing a trade, she's an amazing photographer, so we will have a fall session with her. I have a lot I will be making her....after this busy summer and I can find some time!!!! But I love how it turned out, especially with my label. She loved it too thankfully!

Tie Dye!

I was the tie dye leader for my church's vacation bible school this year. It was a lot of fun and I got to test out the tie dye before to make sure I knew what I was doing. I did a lot of shirts, onesies and did sheets for my kids. I love how they turned out and the kids love them. Blues and greens for my son and pinks, purples for my daughter. I got the twin sheets for my son for $12 at Walmart and a Queen topsheet from my church's thrift store for $2 plus two pillowcases for 25 cents each. What a deal!!!!!! The tie dye kit was amazing and was from Dharma Trading, using squirt bottles which really cut down on messes.
