Western Appliqued Shirts

Here are some of the 72 tees that I did Western appliques on. Lots of cowboy boots!

Pale blue shirts looked great with brown fabrics that I had.

Pale yellow shirts were cute with gray Kaffe Fassett fabric.

And green and pink Amy Butler fabric.

Guitars and stars for the boys!

Lots more cowboy boots.

Make Your Own Fabric Labels

Look what I made this month!!!!
Handmade labels!

I ordered this custom stamp recently from Staples. I think it was $13. I read about making your own custom labels on Pink Stitches in March and thought it was a great idea. It worked wonderfully and is so much cheaper than ordering them on etsy, but looks more handmade (which I happen to love).

You can read the tutorial on Pink Stitches but you just need fabric paint, a plastic lid, piece of felt, custom stamp, and ribbon or scrap fabric. It was really easy and fun!

I grabbed my bag of scrap fabric and went to town.

There's going to be mess ups but it's no big deal.

Here are all the pretty labels sewn into my bandanna skirts.

I use a little ribbon piece for size info.

Each one is fun and unique!

Bandana Skirt Sets

Here are the six bandana skirt sets I made. I love them! Matching Western applique shirts. I hope the girls on the ranch love them.....

Not sure which color I like best......I will be listing some new sets in my etsy shop. STAY TUNED!

Western Appliqued Onesies

No, I haven't been busy. Not at all. Only appliquing 32 onesies, 72 shirts and sewing 6 bandana skirts. These are all for an amazing ranch in Wyoming. It was really fun to do! I had free reign so I did horseshoes, stars, guitars, horse heads, and cowboy boots in whatever fabric I wanted!!!!

Here are the onesies.....
Cowboy boots

Guitars with button detail.

Horse heads.

Stars. More to come with shirts and bandana skirts!

Custom Birthday Gift

Here's an easy birthday gift to make. We had our friend, Cooper's, birthday party this past weekend and I had everything I needed on hand. I buy plain shirts when they're on sale so I have a bunch of sizes to choose from. Cooper's dad plays ice hockey so this material was perfect!

Applique the C onto the shirt by ironing the Therma Bond, then zig-zagging around the edge to secure and add detail. I love how it turned out. Will be making letter shirts for my kids soon. Numbers are also so cute (for their age)!

Tag I made with left over material, then wrote size with a permanent marker. Zig-zag stitched and DONE! Anyone have great custom birthday gift ideas?

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful, wonderful mom! Thank you for everything you've done for me. We miss you Nana-we'll see you this summer.

I live the life of my dreams with my husband and two little ones, living in Colorado, staying home with them, with a little break to work at my church part time and to do some sewing when I get a moment. My life is full of amazing friends and I'm surrounded by the incredible beauty and sunshine of Colorado. Blessed.

Life is NEVER dull around here.
Sometimes frustrating, tiring, and hard but when I see this face, it just becomes ok.

Life isn't perfect. But it's perfect for me.

Happy Mother's Day to the beautiful moms I know.

Stuff I'm loving this week

A Lemony Squeezy Home did a guest tutorial on making a Loyalty Card Holder on Grosgrain. Or for business cards. Uses scrap fabric. YEAH!

Cinnamon Coffee Roll Cake recipe here. AMAZING!

Here's a cool drawstring bag to hold your knitting stuff (or for me, sewing stuff). There's a full tutorial here.

Look at this deliciousness! It's on Tidy Mom and is a low-cal Three Cheese Chicken Penne Pasta Bake. My kids would love this. And me too!!!!

There is a great green tea toner and olive oil sugar scrub for natural skin care here. You Tube videos explain how to make both.

Oreo cupcake that has an Oreo cookie on the bottom! YUM!!! It's on The Larson Lingo. I'm definitely making these.
