Looking for a way to repurpose/recycle your kids' tank tops from summer?
How about making bags out of them? So cute! It's on Fiskars with a full tutorial. What a fun way for your kids to remember their favorite outgrown tops (and while repurposing too)!
I will definitely be doing this for my son's teacher this year, and his aide. I mean, how adorable is this? It's from Lisa Storms, and the little flag says "thank you for quenching my thirst for knowlege". And the one for the teacher's aide is "thank you for being a great "ade" for our class". A very useful (and CUTE) cup with individual packets of lemonade inside. LOVE so much! She includes a link to print the flags too!!!!! These girls out there are so stinkin creative, I can't stand it.
This is what I'll be giving my son's teacher for back to school this year. A set of 6 fabric apple notecards. I have a few sets available in different red fabrics here. I think they are a cute, and useful gift. And I have so much fun making them!!!!
We Talk of Christ, We Rejoice in Christ shares some kindergarten advice from her readers. SO EXCITED for this next stage in our family. Can't believe my son is ready to go already, but I know he's ready and will THRIVE!!!!!
More Back to School Teacher Gifts. What teacher wouldn't love to receive some flowers in a vase with magnetic letters? How sweet sitting on their desk at school. Directions are here on Giggles Galore.
And idea from Crissy's Crafts on giving the teacher some extra supplies in a FUN way. Glue sticks in a mason jar with a label-We are Stuck on you.
This cute little apple is made from two plastic soda bottles, spray paint, and filled with Hershey kisses. I think it is adorable and is also found at Crissy's Crafts.
My son is going to kindergarten this year and I'm so excited for him! He's going to love it so much.... So I've been in Back To School mode! I'm still on vacation, and after I get back, school starts in one week so I will be busy! This week I'm going to post back to school ideas everyday!!!!!!
Did you ever give the teacher a gift on first day of school? I had never heard of that, but if it means I get to be creative and make something then I'm all for it!!!!!!!! So here's some ideas I found that are adorable for a teacher.
Pencil vase with personalized card found at The Blackberry Vine. She also has four other cute ideas for teacher appreciation.
Personalized notecards and lotion. Free printables for the notecards and lotion are at seven thrity three.
I found this today and fell in LOVE with it. You use the map of the town you met your husband, where you got married, and where you live now. I think it is an adorable idea and will for sure be making this for our bedroom after we move. It's here.
This is a photo I had saved from a while ago, so I don't know where it came from. But I think you put some nails into canvases or wood that's painted and wrap thread or string around and around for some interesting art. So creative!
I also had this photo saved since I wanted to make this for my daughter's room using either scrapbook paper for the letters or fabric. I want to enlarge it and put it on a big canvas (or 4 different ones) to match her room. So sweet for a little girl.
And this is what I will be making my kids with a heart on Colorado since just the state won't work for us (a big rectangle). Love where you live!
This is where I am right now. In Maryland at the beach. Looking at these houses on the bay. Having an amazing time with my family.
Went to the White Marlin Open and saw this bad boy. A 224lb tuna! Took the guy 6 hours to catch him. Pretty cool to see the boats come in with their fish.
I think dolphin fish and tunas... Learned a new fashion from my adorable niece. My sister cut up the side of her shirt and cut strips, then we knotted up the sides. Turned out great! Always good to know what's in fashion from my 6 (soon to be 7) year old niece. (she got the idea from a high school girl)
My son and my nephew on the deck playing around.
My daughter having fun.
My daughter and my brother. They are the cutest pair! He tells her lots of creative stories that she LOVES.
My dad crabbing off the dock.
My niece fishing for crabs. Interesting technique!
Again, my bother, entertaining the kids.
My son enjoying fishing. He was the crab catcher with the net most of the time.
My nephew fishing. I guess he's never fished before and said "this is my dream". How sweet this boy can be.
The youngest of the group. Getting into everything and having fun.
I love the east coast for our vacations. Catching up with family and of course, visiting the beach. I love the Colorado mountains so much, but there's nothing like the time at the beach.
