I made these fun luggage tags from some plastic Mileage Plus tags I got in the mail from United Airlines. So easy to make!
I used Mod Podge and little pieces of scrapbook paper I already had.
To make: Just cut pieces of paper, use a paintbrush and spread Mod Podge on tag. Let dry, then trim with exacto knife. Then brush 2-3 layers of Mod Podge on top, letting each layer dry before the next.
And here it is. We'll see how they hold up when we travel this summer. I love recycling things that would normally be thrown out! -ellen
I made this cute little chevron clutch for myself and I LOVE it! I found the gray and cream chevron fabric at Hobby Lobby and was over the moon. I could never find chevron fabric in any stores. I bought a bunch so I will be making lots of other pretty things.
The pattern is the Jennifer Clutch Pattern by ithinksew. It was a great pattern and very easy to follow. I didn't add a pocket, but definitely will next time. I love clutch patterns with a wrist strap. I chose an aqua lining and wrist strap for that pop of color.
I added a fabric ellzabelle label on the outside and inside.
It closes with magnetic snaps. I love these things, and they are easy to do. I bought a bunch on etsy so I have them on hand.
I'm still alive, just enjoying summer. We all went to Steamboat Springs last week, tagging along to my husband's conference. It was a BLAST. Basically the kids swam all week in the hotel pool, but we also hiked Fish Creek Falls. Beautiful!
Explored the Botanic Park. Right on the river trail and free and gorgeous. It was HOT but enjoyable. So fun being back in Steamboat. My son was born here so it holds a special spot in my heart.
Missing my aspens. By far my favorite tree and just makes me happy. Unfortunately, no aspens where I now live. SAD.
Then on the way home we camped a night with friends in Meeker. It was fun, but once again my daughter and I froze all night so not much sleep. Oh and the drinking men up till 3am didn't help either! So while it was fun, I was anxious to get home and relax and regroup.
I have been crafting too. I will post soon. -ellen
