Simple Life Pattern Company Daphne Skirt on Pattern Revolution

I sewed this cute pear skirt from a great pattern- Daphne Skirt Pattern by Simple Life Pattern Company.  It was for Pattern Revolution and was just one skirt of many featured in a wonderful post!  You can see more pics and lots of other great skirts here.

The pattern comes in size 2T to 12.  I loved it so much that I'm excited to try more of their patterns.

I also made an applique shirt to match the wonderful pear fabric.  I had a 97 cent Old Navy brown shirt just waiting to be made beautiful.

I used a bunch of fabrics for the underskirt.  I sewed a long chain of random widths all tighter, then measured and cut for front and back.  I am proud to say all fabric was from my stash!!!  I love how it turned out and my girl loves it too.  She just wore it for our family pictures last night and we all matched her.

She is getting so great at modeling and feeling comfortable and having fun.  Sorry for the picture overload.

As she's getting older, everyday she wants to wear skirts and her dresses are staying in the closet (very sad but I knew it was coming).  I'm always on the lookout for cute skirts.  This Daphne skirt can be made as just a single layer too.  Pockets optional.

  1. Love the two layers and your fabric choices are awesome, Ellen. Combining fabrics for the underskirt works so well. Great photos, too.
